You don't have to be alone with this.
MidorDepression is not emergency care, and I'm not a replacement for a real person. If you might harm yourself or you can't stay safe, please reach a person now. I'm staying right here with you.
Are you in immediate danger?
Not in Uzbekistan, or want a dedicated mental-health line? Use the helpline finder above, or call your local emergency number. If you're in immediate physical danger, contact emergency services now.
Reach a trusted person — tonight
Message or call one person, even if it's just “I'm not okay, can you stay with me a while?” You don't have to explain everything. You just don't have to be alone.
Try not to stay alone
Go where there are other people if you can — another room, a porch, a public place. Being around others, even strangers, can carry you through the sharpest part.
Put distance between you and anything dangerous
If there's something nearby that could hurt you, move it away, or move yourself to a different room. Make it harder to act on the worst moment, even by a little.
Let's breathe together first
Follow the circle. There's nothing to do well here — just breathe along for as long as you like.
My safety plan
Write this for yourself in calmer moments. It will be here when you need it.
A safety plan is something you write for yourself, in a calmer moment, so your future self isn't alone with the decision. It stays on this device.
What I notice when things start sliding
Situations or thoughts that make it worse
Even tiny ones — a song, a walk, a shower
Names and how to reach them
Where I can go
People, pets, moments, anything — no reason is too small
Doctor, counselor, clinic
What I'll do first if I'm not safe
Whatever brought you to this page — I'm glad you're still here. The pain is real, but it is not the whole story, and it is not forever. Stay. Just for tonight, stay.
